As a mom and therapist, I understand the unique struggle parents face in this season of life. I believe that reaching out for support is a huge sign of strength, even if it doesn't always feel that way. Being a parent is its own challenge, adding a career, your relationship, friendships and other roles to it, makes it a lot more complicated. I am here to support you in finding skills and techniques that work for you to manage your personal stressors and struggles. I believe every individual is unique in their experience and will tailor my approach to your need. I think our story and where we come from plays an important role how we conceptualize the world and our future life. I see my clients as capable of changing your story and offer non-judgment, compassion, and honesty in the process of healing.
I started my career in mental health working at a residential facility for teens and have since then acquired training and experience in outpatient setting and community mental health with all age groups and couples. I have specialized training in perinatal mental health and believe in the value of continuing education.
Since my family has a strong background in the military and first responders, I have a passion providing services to those who have served and are actively serving. I tailor my treatment approach to fit the unique needs of first responders and military members. I will not only listen, but give you concrete tools and strategies to overcome challenges and feel stronger in your day to day life and job.
I enjoy helping individuals and couples reach their full potential and encourage healing through a holistic perspective, incorporating coping skills with mindfulness, physical activity, and nutrition. I use narrative approaches to uncover your story and EMDR therapy to process traumatic experiences. I strive to work collaboratively with your other treatment providers, such as primary care providers, psychiatrists, chiropractors, physical therapists, midwives, OBGYNs, and nutritionist, to make the care for you as comprehensive as possible.
If weekly therapy does not fit your schedule, I offer therapy intensives now, including EMDR intensives, and couples intensives.
